Daytona West builds the custom hurricane resistant housing Daytona Beach residents rely on in an emergency. These custom homes are built with exterior walls poured of solid concrete, formed with either stay-in-place Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) or removable aluminum forms. Furthermore, all windows and exterior doors are constructed from Miami-Dade hurricane rated products. Our services include building complete custom homes, ICF shells (foundation, walls, and framing) , ICF installation labor and project consulting.
Poured Concrete Construction utilizes removable aluminum forms filled with concrete mixed with Helix Micro-Steel and rebar. This provides the home or building owner with a hurricane resistant structure superior to stick-frame or block construction.
Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are stay-in-place forms made of EPS insulation, which provide a super insulated, solid, poured concrete wall that delivers superior energy efficiency, comfort, quietness, and disaster resistance. Like poured concrete construction, ICF walls are reinforced with steel rebar and are typically designed to withstand more than 200 MPH winds.
